GiboStorage the easy-to-use programming of a cobot with a comprehensive safety solution. This makes it possible to work with shorter cycle times than in fully collaborative operation.

The solution’s functionality begins with an AMR Autonomous Mobile Robot) delivering a rack of pallets loaded with parts ready for casting. The robot’s integrated camera locates the exact position of the rack and counts the number of filled shelves. One by one, the pallets are retrieved and held under the casting gun, which fills the parts right up to the edge. Once the parts are cast, the robot selects an empty shelf on the storage racks and places the pallet with the fully filled parts there for curing. After curing is complete, the robot calls for an empty rack. The cured parts are placed in the empty rack and can be retrieved by an AMR.

The robot manages the delivery and pickup of empty racks. It reads the quantity for a new order and keeps track of the locations and curing times in the shelf storage area. In addition, the robot acts as the master for the molding equipment, where a molding batch is called up based on the part to be molded. The entire solution is compact enough to be within the robot’s reach, and everything is controlled from a user-friendly HMI located conveniently outside the safety fence.
