What logistics projects have we handled?

Zealand University Hospital

At Zealand University Hospital in Køge, the goods receiving process is automated. Conveyor tracks, lifts, and AGVs receive carts loaded with goods and handle the further distribution of items such as surgical equipment, laundry, and medication. The system spans two floors, which are connected by lifts that transport the carts up or down.

Gødstrup Regional Hospital

In Gødstrup, 15 AGVs transport supplies from Servicebyen to the rest of the hospital. Staff members place an order in the AGV system, after which the mobile robots ensure that the correct carts are dispatched.

New Aalborg University Hospital

A two-story main buffer is needed to automate all logistics at the New Aalborg University Hospital. Here, carts containing everything from sterile surgical equipment, linens, medications, and much more are stored until AGVs retrieve them and use elevators to transport them out to the wards. The kitchen, of course, has its own smaller buffer to ensure that delivery times and food safety standards are met.

Mobile robots – The future of hospital logistics

At Gibotech, mobile robots from DS Automotion Omron are Omron integral part of our logistics solutions. These two suppliers offer a wealth of benefits when you want to automate transport tasks that previously had to be handled manually by employees.

Omron

Omron’s mobile robots,AIV(Autonomous Intelligent Vehicle), are driverless units that can be programmed with complete freedom. Each one has its own small computer and is programmed simply by showing it the route it needs to follow. They also have built-in lasers and sensors to identify obstacles in their path and prevent accidents. Overall management—including bookingAIVfor tasks and coordination—is handled via Omron’s Enterprise Manager Software.

DS Automotion

DS Automotion’s mobile robots and driverless trucks ensure automatic and precise goods transport in both manufacturing and logistics companies, as well as in the hospital and healthcare sectors. DS Automotion offers a wide range of technologies in navigation, steering, and control, and they have specially developed a mobile robot, Sally, for our project at Rigshospitalet.

Oppent

Oppent intelligent mobile robots that ensure efficient and flexible internal transport in manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare environments. Automation Solutions for New OUH

A great deal of automation has been incorporated into the workflows at New OUH. For example, there’s the kitchen robot Rob-Otto, which empties the food carts and transfers trays and containers to the dishwasher.

Sorting and palletizing facility for PostDanmark

Gibotech has delivered a sorting and palletizing system to PostDanmark. The system’s two robots scan the barcodes on individual mail trays containing sorted letters and sort the trays into 28 different delivery zones. The robots palletize four mail trays at a time in up to eight layers. The finished pallets are then ready to be transported to the various delivery zones.

British furniture manufacturer installs a storage and palletizing system from Gibotech

TheSenatorGroup is a British family-owned manufacturer of office furniture that has been designing and producing high-quality furniture for the global market since 1976. The storage system, developed and designed by Gibotech, transports and places the furniture company’s materials into designated racks, ready for further processing. In addition, Gibotech installed a palletizing solution that allows the company’s processed wood products to be stacked onto pallets with high precision and speed.

Machine-based solution delivers significant efficiency gains for Widex

Gibotech has developed a packaging system for Widex, one of the Nordic region’s leading manufacturers of high-tech hearing aids. The system consists of two FANUC robots that perform an optical inspection of the finished products. This ensures that Widex’s small and highly advanced hearing aids meet the company’s high standards. The system also ensures gentle packaging of the fragile components. First, the boxes that make up the packaging are folded, then the products are placed inside, before the boxes are sealed and labels are applied.

Solution for a furniture factory that operates in conjunction with a CNC machine

Bjerndrup Møbelfabrik A/S is a well-established furniture company located in southwestern Jutland. Through the use of high-tech machinery, Bjerndrup Møbelfabrik A/S has automated parts of its furniture production. The solution from Gibotech consists of both a CNC machine and a robotic system that extends the unmatched capabilities of the CNC machine.

Palletizing solution installed at Novozymes

In 2012, Gibotech delivered a fully automated palletizing solution to Novozymes, which sought to streamline its processes for pallet mixing and label application. Using state-of-the-art FANUC robots and vision systems, Gibotech A/S developed a fast and flexible system that ensures efficient depalletizing, label application, and palletizing.

Svansø uses a Gibotech solution for palletizing

Svansø—which became part of Scandic Food A/S in 2005—is a well-established and well-known brand in the Danish retail sector. Svansø is known for high quality and a wide selection of exciting products—from Brazilian figs to Italian artichokes. Gibotech’s palletizing solution for Svansø ensures fast and easy palletizing and packing of the product line, thereby automating and streamlining production.

JSB Plast A/S Invests in a Major Gibotech Solution

JSB Plast A/S in Ringkøbing is Europe’s leading supplier of foam and balsa core materials, which are used by the wind turbine industry for structural reinforcement of blades and nacelles. Gibotech has supplied a large number of advanced 5-axis CNC milling machines to JSB Plast.

CMS Machine Ensures Quality at J.A. Plastindustri A/S

The plastics company J.A. Plastindustri, located in Thy, has invested in a CMS machine to ensure that it can remain at the forefront of technological advancements while simultaneously improving the quality and speed of its production. J.A. Plastindustri manufactures a wide range of roofing accessories, and its focus on technology and automation solutions enables the company to produce customized roofing accessory programs tailored to the wishes and needs of roofing manufacturers or importers.With a modern production facility, J.A. Bystrup Totalbyg is investing in the future

With an investment in an advanced 5-axis CNC machine, the custom woodworking firm Bystrup Totalbyg hopes to create entirely new opportunities and results for the two-person business in South Funen. Bystrup Totalbyg is located in Svendborg, where for many years they have carried out carpentry and joinery projects for businesses and private clients. With the investment in a CNC machine, however, Bystrup Totalbyg also hopes to gain access to a new market with exciting future prospects.

Gibotech's assembly solution streamlined slat production for Ammeraal

When Ammeraal Beltech Modular (formerly Uni-Chains) needed a system to assemble their steel conveyor belts, they chose Gibotech as their supplier. We developed and built a fully automated system consisting of two Fanuc robots for picking and placing the slats, a unit for installing the rivets, and a winder for the finished chain.
