Gibotech supplies an automatic packaging system to Unipak

The customer’s request was clear from the start: a single system capable of packaging multiple differentproducts while taking up as little space as possible.

That is why the new packaging line is also an incredibly compact system. The system has been delivered to Unikpak, where it will handle four different products ranging from 250-gram containers to 1-kilogram buckets, with minimal, simple, and quick changeover times.

The various products with lids from an external system are fed into Gibotech’s packaging line. If an error occurs and individual products reach the packaging cell without lids, they are automatically sorted out without interrupting operations, which significantly increases capacity.

What makes this solution unique is that the robot performs multiple tasks, making the cell very compact. In fact, the robot not only handles the various products but also serves as a case stacker.

Cardboard boxes are opened from a folded position, automatically taped at the bottom, and placed in the correct position so they are ready to be filled.

The products are then collected and automatically placed in a cardboard box, which is subsequently sealed and palletized in a predetermined pattern.

This allows the robot's capacity to be fully utilized, as it performs multiple tasks simultaneously.
