PL Valves is investing in two new CMS machines
PL Valves has invested in two new machines that will work together to further streamline production at its 3,000-square-meter modern production facility in Middelfart.
The first machine is a saw used to cut plastic sheets to size before further processing in the second machine, a CMS Tracer CNC machining center.
The saw, a CMS Class px 350i, is built on the same principles as large industrial panel saws. It is a “small” saw that stands out because the panel is positioned against an automatic stop, after which the circular saw blade is automatically driven through the panel by a motor. This way, operators do not have to push a heavy sheet on a carriage past the stationary circular saw blade, as they would on a traditional table saw.
The CNC machine machines the sheets, which are then assembled into valves used for a wide variety of purposes.
The CNC machine mills grooves for sealing tape and other materials, creates cutouts, and drills holes.
The CMS Tracer CNC machine offers excellent value for money, and it is built on the same principles as larger CNC models such as the Evotech.
