Did you know that there are also CNC machines that are ideal for working with glass?

If you work with glass in your production, you need machines that are designed to handle this fragile material.

Fortunately, such a machine does exist. It’s called the Agil TR and is a CNC machine from the Italian manufacturer CMS.

The Agil tr is specifically designed to handle glass. This is evident, for example, in the machine’s four arms, which lift off the table, making it easier and safer to load and unload glass before and after processing.

The machine can semi-automatically cut laminated glass sheets, and it can automatically cut monolithic glass sheets up to 3810×2600 mm. It is also capable of making both straight and curved cuts.

Other technical specifications include:

  • Max. workpiece dimensions: 3810×2600 mm
  • Workpiece thickness: 2–19 mm
  • Max. positioning speed: 200 m/min
  • Max. acceleration: 10m/s²
  • Axis positioning accuracy: ± 0.15 mm
  • Straight and shaped cutting optimization software: Yes
  • Maximum weight of workpiece that can be loaded: 350 kg

Take advantage of the other features of a CNC machine as well

If you choose the Agil TR CNC machine for your future glass processing needs, you won’t just get the features mentioned above. You’ll also enjoy all the other general benefits of using a CNC machine for your processing needs.

For example:

  • Fast and efficient processing with consistent results every time.
  • Fewer production errors, because the machine can be programmed to perform exactly the task you need.
  • Less material waste; partly due to fewer errors, and partly due to the planning and placement of the templates on the material.
  • A safe process, because the actual machining takes place in a closed soundproof booth, behind sliding doors, or behind safety barriers.
  • An improved work environment where employees are not involved in the actual machining process.
