Gibotech already has several projects underway around the world, but now it’s time to focus even more on exports.

Last fall, the entire robotics industry united behind a series of recommendations designed to help realize the significant potential for future growth, exports, and employment in the Danish robotics industry—a potential that could reach 80 billion in revenue and 55,000 employees by 2025.

However, there are challenges that could stand in the way of realizing this potential. That is why the robotics industry itself is now pointing to five concrete measures that can contribute to a growth-generating robotics industry in the future

  • Provide access to a skilled workforce
  • Invest in research and development
  • Focus public efforts
  • Boost exports
  • Increase the use of robots in Denmark

More exports

One of the points in the robotics industry’s 2019 recommendations is to boost exports.

Of course, this is a general recommendation, but at Gibotech we are actually already exploring opportunities in the international market.

We view exports as a key component of our future growth, and we are seeing significant interest from companies abroad. They are seeking both our robotics expertise and our approach to integrating automation into industrial production, and we expect to establish a presence through our own subsidiaries or joint ventures with local companies in the near future.

It’s no secret that we’re currently building sterilization centers in Germany. But we’ve also just been on a tour of the U.S. and Canada to meet with both existing customers and potential partners.

Wolverine

Wevisited Wolverine Wood Products, for whom we built our first automated warehouse solution two years ago. They are so satisfied with both the system and the return on investment that we are already in the process of building a similar system. In addition, they are currently considering investing in a third system.

New partner?

Wealso visited a large welding company in Canada that is looking for a partner to handle automation. They could be a good candidate for a business partner in the U.S. and Canadian markets.

And back to the hospitals—we’ve also been to Norway, where we were invited to Denmark’s official residence in Oslo to talk about our automation and robotics solutions for the healthcare sector.
