Another CNC machine is helping to optimize production in Denmark

The COVID-19 crisis has helped draw attention to supply chain security for manufacturing companies, and most Danish companies want to help create jobs in Denmark. This can be achieved, for example, through automation, which improves quality and productivity and thereby enhances competitiveness.

Oneof Denmark’s leading manufacturers of components for the woodworking industry has once again placed an order with Gibotech. The new machine is a CMS Pro Evolution CNC machine and is the fifth in a series of CNC machines that Gibotech is supplying to the customer.

CNC with a focus on safety and the work environment

The CMS Pro Evolution prioritizes both safety and the work environment. The machine comes equipped with a fully enclosed machining area, which ensures operator safety while also providing sound insulation. The design of the shielding also helps limit any dust emissions from the workpieces being machined. The four cameras located in the machining area further enhance safety, as the operator can easily monitor the machining process on a screen at the control panel.

CNC machines also require service and maintenance

For a machine to perform at its best, it is important that it is properly maintained. Gibotech’s service department not only services machines they have supplied themselves, but also machines from other manufacturers at this customer’s site. Gibotech is therefore a strong partner that understands the importance of ensuring that the production equipment is productive and well-maintained at all times.

The tool changer can hold a total of 168 tools and consists of four chain changers, each capable of holding 42 tools.

The CMS Pro Evolution CNC machine from SCM Group comes equipped with four 5-axis machining units distributed across two gantries, enabling the 19-meter-long machine to machine multiple workpieces simultaneously.
