Gibotech Named a Successful Company Once Again

"It is with great pleasure that we hereby present you with the ‘Successful Business 2020’ award. For the second year in a row, the award and the statuette are visible proof that you possess the DNA needed to make a special contribution to growth, prosperity, and thus success in Danish business," was among the remarks made when the award was announced.

The Business Award, established by Spar Nord and BDO in 2019, honors a select group of small and medium-sized enterprises in the Danish business community. These successful companies make a significant contribution to growth and prosperity in their local communities and to the Danish economy as a whole.

All Success Companies receive a winner’s statuette as a visible token of their achievements. In addition, all winners will be honored at a regional event where the Success Companies that have managed to stand out in their region will be highlighted. Spar Nord and BDO will present a regional grand prize as well as three regional special prizes focusing on “Digital Transformation,” “Local Engagement,” and “Sustainability,” respectively.

Out of respect for the diverse business landscape and varying market conditions across the country, Spar Nord and BDO recognize and honor only 1,000 Successful Companies in Denmark.

Both Spar Nord and BDO have a long tradition of working closely with small and medium-sized businesses in Denmark—the backbone of the Danish business community. As a result, there is a strong awareness that it takes something truly special to build and sustain success year after year, and that, unfortunately, this often goes unrecognized. Succesvirksomhed is changing that.

Facts About the "Successful Business" Award

In 2019, Spar Nord and BDO established “Succesvirksomhed,” a business award that recognizes Danish small and medium-sized enterprises with 10–999 employees. Eligible companies are selected based on the number of employees and evaluated according to their performance across the following criteria:

• Growth in pre-tax profit over the past five years
• Equity ratio (must be at least 15%) for the most recent fiscal year
• Increase in equity ratio over the past five years
• The ability to generate results with the available capital base

For each criterion, companies are awarded points based on how well they perform. It is the total number of points that determines whether a company will be included among the 1,000 successful companies.

We commend these successful companies for their impressive financial results. These companies have demonstrated the greatest ability to deliver solid results and high growth year after year. They are trailblazers that drive development both locally and within the Danish business community. For that, we owe them our thanks and respect.
