Gibotech has been recertified to ISO 9001:2015

Hard work and a focus on processes and quality paid off when Gibotech achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification last year, following a concerted effort to develop and implement the quality management system.

That work has now also resulted in recertification.

As a company, we are incredibly proud to be ISO-certified once again, and that all our employees have embraced the changes that ISO certification entails. One year after implementation, we underwent an external audit where we went through everything, and we have to say that we “passed” the test with zero errors. I am proud that all our employees are working so diligently on the new initiatives.

Development of the system

The certification process itself was an intense and educational experience, during which all systems, processes, and procedures were reviewed, evaluated, and, where necessary, adjusted—and finally described in detail so that compliance could be documented.

Since the certification, the entire company has been working intensively to integrate the new processes and procedures, so that they are now second nature to the employees.

- We are now actively applying the new project model from the sales phase through to the point where the facility is handed over to the service department. This means, among other things, that we are focusing more on project risk assessment as early as the proposal phase, thereby ensuring that specifications and data are more firmly established during the project’s start-up phase. This enables us to better translate the customer’s wishes and requirements into the finished product, says Mikkel Bjerregaard, CSO at Gibotech.

- During the external audit, our quality management system was reviewed, and it went very well. In what has already been a busy year, we have integrated the system into our methods and processes with great commitment across the board. But of course, it doesn’t end here, and we are naturally continuing to work on improvements so that we can continue to use the system to achieve our strategic goals, adds Anders Birkholm, who is Head of QHSE at Gibotech.

Tenders and International Business

Gibotech is increasingly involved in tenders and large-scale projects, particularly at hospitals abroad. Here, the ISO 9001 standard is widely recognized, and some major international customers already require that the companies they partner with be ISO 9001 certified. Therefore, this certification marks a milestone in our efforts to remain an attractive supplier of innovative automation solutions, robots, and CNC machines.
