A complete palletizing system, including two Fanuc robots, custom-designed grippers, and stacking machines, has just passed its FAT testing and is now being installed at Geveko Markings Inc. in Gainesville, Georgia.

This robotic system is no longer located in Gibotech's production hall; it has now been shipped to the United States.

Geveko Markings specializes in horizontal markings, road markings, and traffic products, and focuses on developing materials that enhance traffic safety, as well as decorative and creative markings for landscaping.

Need to pack marking materials in the U.S.

The company has several factories around the world, but where the various marking materials are produced depends on the product and where they will be used. The factory in Gainesville primarily manufactures markings for the U.S. market, and it is these products that the new robotic system will now be packaging.

Group Production Manager Hans Peder Hansen is looking forward to the completion of the installation at the factory in the U.S.:

"We've been looking forward to automating this part of our production, so we're excited for the system to be fully operational," they said following the successful FAT test.
