The Odense-based automation company Gibotech A/S has decided to sponsor the young talent Lasse Poulsen, who joined the Nymark Racing team in January; the team fields four cars in the Danish Supertourisme series.

We were convinced when Lasse Poulsen and team manager Michael Outzen came to visit and told us about the new racing series and the opportunities for corporate events and memorable experiences that come with sponsoring the team. Gibotech has previously sponsored racing events, so it’s great to be back again, smelling the hot asphalt while spending a few hours with the Nymark Racing team and our customers in a more unconventional way.

Both one of the youngest and most successful

Lasse Poulsen, from Funen, has made a name for himself in karting over the past few years and most recently secured the 2017 Danish championship in the KZ2 class. At just 22 years old, Lasse Poulsen is one of the youngest drivers in Danish Supertourisme. But despite his young age, Lasse has more than a handful of championships under his belt, making him one of the most successful drivers as well.

The new super-touring car will be a whole new challenge for the race car driver from Funen

“I’ve decided to join Nymark Racing and Michael Outzen because I’m confident that together we can have a great season, though I’m approaching this task with great humility. There will, of course, be a learning curve, but I’m also here to learn and improve my skills, so I’m looking forward to an exciting season, the happy Funen native explains to motorsporten.dk.

Name and sponsorship spot on

It’s not often that Gibotech enters into sponsorship agreements, so expectations are high as Lasse Poulsen gets behind the wheel and hopefully takes the lead. “Our name is Gibotech Moving Technology, so a sponsorship in this class is a perfect fit.” We’ve already competed in two races and got off to a good start. Of course, there are teething problems—or challenges, if you will—but we’re confident that Lasse will find his stride as the season progresses,” concludes Henrik Anker. The next race takes place June 16–17 in Rudskrogen, Norway.
