Gibotech was the recipient of the Erhvervsklub Fyn Award when it was presented in Odense.

On Tuesday, January 8, the Erhvervsklub Fyn Award was presented at Erhvervsklub Fyn’s New Year’s Reception at the Scandic Hotel in Odense. It was the club’s own members who both nominated and selected Gibotech as this year’s winner of the prestigious business award, which has been presented for over 15 years and is given annually to a Funen-based company that has served as an exceptional role model for other Funen companies in terms of growth, change, innovation, and preferably from an international perspective.
Rolls for the whole company
So it was a happy and proud CEO who brought rolls for the whole company on Wednesday morning.
It may well be that I was the one who received the trophy and the applause last night, but it is, of course, all of our employees who made it possible. They are the ones who, every day, help build the company, our growth, and our success. And they are the ones who make it possible for us to celebrate today that we received the Erhvervsklub Fyn Award as an innovative, energetic, and rapidly growing company on Funen with great success.
Henrik Anker, CEO of Gibotech
Gibotechis known for its quality and is one of the leading companies in the field of custom automation systems for both industry and hospitals.
- Over the years, Gibotech has supplied countless machines and systems to a wide variety of industries, companies, and production processes, and is able to develop solutions in close collaboration with its customers. Gibotech thinks outside the box and takes a creative approach to solutions in the robotics field, and its entry into the healthcare sector—including automated sterilization centers and blood sample sorting—is a prime example of this, according to the statement from Carsten Rosendal, chairman of the Funen Business Club.
In its nomination, the Fyn Business Club also praises Gibotech for its reputation for quality and its leadership in the field of custom-designed, high-tech automation systems for both industry and hospitals. Finally, the nomination highlights the company’s creative approach to robotic solutions and its entry into the healthcare sector, including automated sterilization centers and blood sample sorting.
Local roots and new jobs
With this award, the Funen Business Club recognizes, among other things, that Gibotech is deeply rooted in the local community and helps create jobs within the Funen robotics cluster.
- Gibotech is proud to be a Funen-based company; it is growing and evolving year after year and continues to hire more employees at its Odense facility. The latest addition to the family is the establishment of Sanovo Technology Robotics A/S, which aims to become the world’s leading supplier of robotic solutions for the egg industry. At a time when robots are playing an increasingly significant role in Funen’s business community, Gibotech and its significant contributions to the development of the region deserve special recognition, according to the nomination from Erhvervsklub Fyn.
And the fact that Gibotech has been growing rapidly over the past few years is reflected not only in its revenue but also, to a large extent, in the composition of its workforce.
- There are 100 of us at Gibotech now, and half of them haven’t been with the company for two years, so we’ve got our work cut out for us. So bringing home this recognition is just absolutely wonderful for all of us, and we definitely need to celebrate it,” Henrik Anker concluded his acceptance speech on Tuesday evening after receiving the beautiful sculpture by Jens Ingvard Hansen that accompanies the 2019 Erhvervsklub Fyn Award.
