Do you work with metal, stone, glass, plastic, or some other material at your business? If so, waterjet cutting is a great option for the optimal processing method. It offers versatility in materials, high precision, and minimal post-processing.

Here are five good reasons why you should invest in a waterjet cutting system for your production:

  1. Precision
We’re talking thousandths of a millimeter when it comes to the tolerance level in waterjet cutting. This provides an extremely high degree of precision and the ability to create complex details and shapes—that are identical every time.
  2. Compatible with many materials
A waterjet can be used on a wide variety of materials. It can cut difficult materials such as foam—which otherwise tends to shift or move if cut with a saw, for example—and heat-sensitive materials that are otherwise vulnerable to the heat generated by other machining methods.
  3. Minimal finishing
After waterjet cutting, the cut edge of the processed material is often so smooth that it requires little or no finishing.
  4. Can operate on all axes
A waterjet can operate on both three and five axes. This makes it extremely flexible and opens up many (new) possibilities for your production.
  5. A healthy work environment
The waterjet cuts using water and an abrasive—usually fine sand. This means that no hazardous fumes are emitted, and no small particles are released into the air, which could otherwise pose a health risk to your employees.
