Gibotech is developing a mobile painting robot for Muehlhan A/S

Muehlhan A/S is a leader in steel surface treatment and selected Gibotech as the supplier of a mobile painting system. The portable system can be quickly packed into a container, and it is a key element of Muehlhan’s strategy to maintain a presence worldwide wherever wind turbine components are spray-painted.

The painting robot has an annual capacity of several hundred wind turbine towers and is extremely flexible and precise. The robot can paint a 35-meter-long tower section in approximately 60 minutes—which is significantly faster than traditional methods. The various layers of primer, coating, and topcoat are applied precisely to the specified thicknesses, which is why Gibotech’s painting system sets new standards for quality, environmental considerations, and workplace safety in the surface treatment of wind turbine tower sections.
