Both the design and performance of the new machine reaffirm Tekna’s position as the market leader in high-performance CNC machining centers.

Mobile 5-axis CNC gantry machining center designed to perform drilling, milling, and threading operations at any angle from -90° to +90°, on bars or workpieces made of aluminum, PVC, light alloys, and steel with a thickness of up to 2 mm. The moving part of the machine consists of a gantry structure equipped with a dual-motor crane track with a precision rack.

Here are 4 features that make the new machine truly special:‍‍

  1. ‍Tool magazine
    ‍The tool magazine
, which is integrated into the mobile gantry structure, can hold 10 tools. A second magazine has two positions: one for a 400 mm diameter blade and one for a 180 mm diameter blade.
Two different operating modes are provided: the first in single-zone mode for machining entire bars with a maximum length of 7 m in a single work area; the second in pendulum mode, which allows for the machining of multiple workpieces in the two different work areas.
In the version with movement of the clamping devices on the H and P axes, it is possible to use the machine in dynamic pendulum mode, a working method that minimizes machine downtime by allowing automatic adjustment of the clamping devices during “masked” time for spindle machining processes in the opposite work area.

  2. Safety Cabin ‍The safety cabin
, made of technopolymer, is designed to combine maximum functionality, accessibility, sound insulation, and brightness with safety and ergonomic requirements.
The large glass surfaces allow the operator to monitor the machining process and provide easy access for cleaning and maintenance.
The enclosure ensures that chips are directed toward a container at the bottom of the machine.
    ‍‍

  3. Electric Spindle
‍With a power output of 11 kW, this electric spindleenables even heavy-duty machining operations to be performed with excellent speed and precision.

  4. Laser Scanner ‍The TKE
955 is equipped with a laser scanner that enables the most precise and advanced access control at the machine front, thereby raising safety standards and improving user/machine interfaces. In pendulum mode, the laser scanner allows for the programming of asymmetrical working areas on the X-axis to process workpieces of various sizes using 4 different configurations, thereby increasing the machine’s flexibility.
Once again, Tekna has succeeded in designing a machine that sets entirely new standards for CNC machining. It will be a fantastic machine to offer our customers.
